General terms and conditions
In force from: 2026-11-01
These terms apply to every use of TheCrowdCam: by organizers who book it for an event, and by guests who use the camera. The Hungarian version (ÁSZF) is the binding one; this English version is a translation for convenience.
1. Service provider
C-RT Media Kft.; seat: 4254 Nyíradony, Galamb utca 18.; premises: 1045 Budapest, Berni utca 1.; company registration number: 09-09-034429 (Debreceni Törvényszék Cégbírósága); tax number: 32094066-2-09; EU VAT number: HU32094066; email: marketing@crtmedia.hu.
Hosting provider: Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA.
2. The service
TheCrowdCam is a web-based event camera. Guests scan a QR code and take a limited number of photos on their own phone, without installing an app. The photos are revealed together in an online album at a time set by the organizer. Organizers get a dashboard with moderation tools, a live photo wall, album emails, sponsor opt-ins, logos on a photo frame, and event statistics. The features included depend on the package booked.
3. Booking and contract
Organizers book TheCrowdCam by request through the website or by email. The contract is formed when we confirm the booking in writing (email is enough), stating the package, the event and the price. After confirmation we create the event and send the organizer the private dashboard link. Contracts are concluded in Hungarian or English; we keep them electronically and send a copy on request.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are listed on the website in euro and do not include VAT; VAT is added according to the law.
- Event packages are paid in advance by bank transfer against our invoice, at the latest before the event goes live, unless agreed otherwise in writing. For festival and season contracts: 50% when signing, the rest 7 days before the first event.
- Extra-shot packs (100 shots for €20 each) can be bought directly in the dashboard by card through Stripe. They are activated immediately after payment and are non-refundable once any shot from the pack has been given out.
- We may suspend the service if a due invoice is not paid.
5. Cancellation
Cancellation by the organizer, in writing: more than 14 days before the event – full refund; 7 to 14 days before – 50% of the package price is due; less than 7 days before – the full price is due. If the event is cancelled by the authorities or for force majeure, we move the booking to a new date free of charge or refund what is unused.
Consumers (for example, private parties) keep all rights granted to them by law; these terms do not limit them.
6. Organizer responsibilities
- Inform attendees at the venue (posters, screens, tickets) that a crowd camera is in use and that photos may be used for marketing and social media, with a link to our privacy notice.
- Download the photos and the sponsor opt-in list they need within 7 days after the event; after that, they are deleted automatically.
- Obtain any permissions needed for photography at the venue, especially for events with minors.
- Moderate photos: hide or delete anything inappropriate, and block guests who misuse the camera.
- Make sure sponsor opt-in texts are true and that the sponsor uses the received emails only as consented.
- Upload only logos they have the right to use.
- Provide the correct screen resolution for the live wall; the organizer is responsible for the size matching the venue’s screen.
- The sponsor name and sponsor logo can be changed by the organizer once; further changes are made by us on request.
- Keep the dashboard link secret; anyone with the link can manage the event.
7. Guest rules
Guests may use the camera only at the event and only for photos of the event. It is forbidden to upload content that is illegal, sexual, violent, hateful, or that violates someone else’s rights or privacy. The organizer and we may remove any photo and block any guest without notice. The number of shots per guest is set by the package; organizers can give up to 10 extra shots per guest.
8. Photos and rights
Guests keep the copyright of their photos. By joining the camera and uploading, a guest grants the organizer and the event’s sponsors a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, unlimited in time, to use the photos for marketing purposes: on social media, websites, in newsletters, press and advertising about the event or its sponsors, and in the event report, with credit to the guest where practical. We may store the photos, show them in the album and on the live wall, and send the album link. Guests are informed about this on the camera screen before joining.
We delete the photos from TheCrowdCam 7 days after the event ends. Copies the organizer or sponsors have downloaded before that are theirs to manage under this licence; if a guest or a person in a photo asks for a photo to be taken down, the organizer must remove it from their own channels without undue delay.
Logos and marks remain the property of their owners.
9. Availability and liability
We work to keep TheCrowdCam available, but the camera depends on guests’ phones, browsers and mobile network, which are outside our control. Photos taken without signal are saved on the phone and uploaded later. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any damage is limited to the price paid for the affected event; we are not liable for lost profit or indirect damage. This limit does not apply to intentional or grossly negligent breach, or to damage to life, physical integrity or health.
10. Personal data
We process personal data as described in our privacy notice. Where we process guests’ data on an organizer’s behalf, the organizer can request a data processing agreement.
11. Complaints and disputes
Send complaints to marketing@crtmedia.hu. We reply in writing within 30 days. Consumers may also turn to the conciliation board of their county; in Budapest: Budapesti Békéltető Testület, 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99. I. em. 111.; postal address: 1253 Budapest, Pf. 10.; phone: +36 1 488 2131; email: bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu; web: www.bekeltet.bkik.hu.
These terms are governed by Hungarian law, in particular the Civil Code (Act V of 2013) and Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce services.
12. Changes
We may change these terms for the future. Changes are published on this page; bookings already confirmed keep the terms in force when they were confirmed.
